Core Expanded

Not your Daddy’s sit-ups or crunches! Clients come to me having had a personal trainer for years yet they have no idea how to engage their deep abdominals. They suffer from increasing arthritis, back and neck pain. Maybe you too have hired an “expert” personal trainer but frankly, you just don’t know what you don’t know. Even people with significantly developed muscles will find Core Align, Pilates and Orbit exercises to be a real challenge – if done correctly. I don’t know about you, but for me, I’d rather not spend precious time, energy and money doing anything half-way.

Have you ever suffered an injury or illness?

Core training seems all the rage lately but it needs to be done correctly to be safe and effective. Did you know there are four major muscles or muscle groups involved in activating your “core?” To engage the core muscles it’s helpful to understand their purpose. How to activate them completely is a deep topic it’s one of the first things I teach a new client before they dive into Pilates exercises. You will be surprised how much easier it is to identify and connect with their core muscles on the Core Align because you have to move against resistance in an upright position. It’s a unique experience!
